Our humble beginnings
As far as we have come today, we will not forget where and how we started the business. Through hard work, persistence and good relationships, we got to where we are today and will always be proud of our history and achievements.

Chan Kok Hon Vegetables and Fruits Trading started in September 1983 with a mere 5m x 3m cold storage room, a small 3m x 3m storeroom for non cold-storage produce, and a mini van for deliveries. Most of our business transactions were made at the open space outside the cold storage room, with Mr Chan himself doing the daily runs of goods collection and delivery, as well as account management.

Within 7 years, the business flourished and we managed our first logistics upgrade – a 14-foot truck for goods collection and delivery. This was followed by the addition of another two 10-foot trucks, as well as another 48m x 3m cold room to facilitate our expanding business needs. By then, we had 5 full-time staff, and a business operation that spanned nearly all corners of the island.
Moving to greener pastures
In July 1998, the company moved to a multi-storey unit in the Pasir Panjang Wholesale Market, with a private cold storage room, dry storage room, and top storey office space. Since then, we have claimed our position as one of the renowned importer/exporter of vegetables and fruits supplier in the market, supplying major ship chandlers, supermarkets and well known restaurant chains with fresh produce every day.

Today, we operate on 20 full-time staff led by two generations of the Chan family, a 25-foot truck for goods collection and three fleets of delivery vans. We’ve also acquired our own farms producing fresh oyster mushrooms, straw mushroom and pea shoots, and developed strong partnerships with suppliers all over Asia.
