Humble Beginnings With Sincerity

Chan Kok Hon Vegetables & Fruits Trading was established in 1983 by Mr Chan Kok Hon. Mr Chan started the company with humble beginnings by renting a small shared cold storage space in Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre.

Mr Chan started with importing fresh produce like asparagus, chilli padi and baby corn from Thailand. He also imported watercress and french bean from Indonesia. He frequently visited the farms and it's growers and suppliers in these countries to personally understand the process. Because of his passion, sincerity and consistency, he developed a strong business bond with the growers and suppliers that last until present day.

The Next Phase

In 1998 until present day, Mr Chan shifted his business to a 2 storey shop front in Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre. This shop has a 2 level cold storage room to maintain the freshness of the produce.

Since 2005, Chan Kok Hon Vegetables & Fruits Trading has been importing a wide variety of fresh produce from Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Australia, Oman and The Netherlands.

Mr Chan has a particular connection with mushrooms and throughout the last 15 years have imported a wide variety of mushrooms. The company's best selling mushroom is white button mushroom, also known as white champignons.

With Mr Chan's vision and passion for mushroom, to date the company is importing and selling an average of 30 tonnes of button mushrooms monthly.

Handing The Baton

Mr Chan handed down the business to his son, Mr Bronson. He had mentored and guided Mr Bronson since 2009 with his valuable business philosophy and approaches. Mr Bronson has followed Mr Chan in his business in both Singapore and around the region since he was a young boy. His vision is to continue Mr Chan's business philosophy.

Mr Bronson is working towards bring the business to the next level, which is to bring fresh produce import/export to more customers via modern technology and progressive approaches. But yet maintaining the valuable business traditions, methods and standards passed down from Mr Chan Kok Hon.
